Welcome to SmidgenAI. By accessing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Use of Service

SmidgenAI is an experimental tool that uses Artificial Intelligence to generate cooking recipes based on ingredients provided by the user. The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

2. AI Disclaimer & Health Warning

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI may hallucinate or generate incorrect instructions (e.g., wrong cooking times, temperatures, or ingredients).
• Allergies and Dietary Restrictions: You are solely responsible for verifying all ingredients and instructions before cooking. The App offers filters (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, allergies) but we do not guarantee their accuracy.
• We are not responsible for any damage, illness, injury, or unsatisfactory culinary results arising from the use of these recipes.
• You should always use your own judgment when cooking, especially when dealing with potential allergens, raw ingredients, or cooking temperatures.

3. User Accounts

To use the App, you must log in using a third‑party authentication provider (Google, Yahoo, X & GitHub.). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, post offensive content, or engage in abusive behavior.

Age Restriction: You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.

4. User Content

By publishing a recipe or comment on the "Wall", you grant SmidgenAI a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to display, reproduce, and distribute such content within the platform. You retain ownership of your content. We are not responsible for any content posted by users.

We reserve the right to remove any content that we deem inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of these terms.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App to generate illegal, harmful, discriminatory, or dangerous content.
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or overload the App's servers.
• Spam, harass, or impersonate other users.
• Use automated scripts to access the App or scrape data.

6. Intellectual Property

The SmidgenAI name, logo, and code are the property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without permission. The recipes you generate are yours to use, but the underlying AI model and platform remain proprietary.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmidgenAI and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the application, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App (if any).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SmidgenAI and its developers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the App or violation of these terms.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these terms or is harmful to other users. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms shall be governed by the laws of your country of residence. Any dispute arising out of these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court, as applicable. You waive the right to participate in class actions.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or within the App.
